PAIN IS TEMPORARY

I was about cook so I needed to slice my onions.

At that point I remembered that slicing the onion will always hurt my eyes so I decided to slice them with my eyes closed:



With my eyes closed, I realized that I almost got myself injured with the knife, I was wasn't able to slice the onion into smooth shapes as I wanted and I didn't also enjoy the slicing process.

I just had to open my eyes and did the slicing, yeah my eyes was hurt by the onion temporary. But I did enjoy the slicing.



Now this is us walking through life with our eyes closed just because we are afraid of hurt, pains, failure, persecution, rejection, not finding reciprocal for our love and other life challenges.

And with our eyes closed, we don't live up to our full potentials, we don't enjoy the life adventure, we don't improve on ourselves, we don't try anything new.

We end up not finding fulfilment in life because we were scared of pain.



All am saying is, slice the onion with your eyes open, be bold to face all life vicissitudes. Be willing to push through pain.

Hurt, pain, depression will come but they all are temporary.

Don't let the fear of short-term hurdles make you lose your long-term victory.



I have never met a man who got blind after slicing an onion, so have I not met a man who failed when he never stopped trying.

Pain IS temporary but you are NOT!
