WHEN SOMEONE IS OWING YOU

When someone is owing you money, don't spend your whole time worrying and regretting.

Make out time to actually pray for the person. Apparently, it's either the person doesn't have the money to pay back or the person has just decided not to.



Try also to maintain a positive state of mind.

Nothing is worth taking your happiness away. The borrower is probably happy and has even forgotten about you and your money, while on the other hand you are feeling resentful and sad.



You know this courteous attitude people bring when they are in need of something but when it's time to pay back they now become something else.

And I find it excruciating calling or reminding people to repay me. It feels very embarrassing and I just sit and hope the person just pays me.



Well, I have this principle I use in lending money, although I tend to adjust it relative to the situation. "Lend money you can easily let go". See, there's no guarantee that a borrowed money will come back; Unless you are a financial institution.

So don't take any money you are lending out to heart so as to avoid heart break. I'm saying this from experience. But still ensure you do everything right to get your money back.



I used to be amongst the world's top 5 persons who will always count all the money people owe them and sum it up as part of their net worth. It made me feel richer.

But in reality a bird at hand is worth two in the bush.



Finally, we are living in a society where people don't help each other due to the prevalent issue with lack of trust and disappointment.

But I encourage you not to totally right off assisting people when you have the opportunity.

I know it's challenging but, it's more blessed to give than to receive.

Don't be the borrower.
