*DAILY DEW 28/NOVEMBER/2023* *Two Ways We Receive God’s Anointing* _Key Bible Text:_ *"But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him."* (1 John 2:27 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Two Ways We Receive God’s Anointing: 1. A visitation from God 2. An impartation from men of God Good examples are: - Moses vs Joshua God supernaturally encountered Moses, but Moses laid hands on Joshua (Num 27:18; Deut 34:9). - Samuel vs David God supernaturally visited Samuel, but Samuel anointed Saul and David (1 Sam 3:1; 10:1; 16:12). - Elijah vs Elisha We don’t know how Elijah became a prophet, but most likely, it was supernaturally. Elisha became a prophet by receiving a double portion of Elijah’s spirit (2 Kings 2:9). - Paul and Timothy Paul had Ananias lay hands on him by prophets and teachers (Acts 9:17; 13:1-3). Timothy received the gifts of God through Paul and elders (1 Tim 4:14; 2 Tim 1:6).
