*DAILY DEW 4/FEBRUARY/2024* Be Too Hard On Yourself! _Key Bible Text:_ *"And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die"* 2 Samuel 12:5 (KJV) _Bible Insight:_ Push yourself harder. Don't take it easy on yourself and take it hard on others. Judge yourself mercilessly but be nice on others. 1 Corinthians 11:31 (KJV) puts it this way, *"For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged."* The essence is not necessarily to be wicked to yourself. The goal is to become a better version of yourself. Naturally, human nature tends to pamper self, and 'pepper" others! This is man's default set up. Self discipline means reversing this trend or tendency. Rather than always getting mad with others, and being soft and gentle on self, take the heat out on yourself. But be gentle on others. This also plays out by expecting less from others, and more from yourself.
