*DAILY DEW 7/FEBRUARY/2024* THE CONSEQUENCES (II) _Key Bible Text:_ *"Someone from your own family will cause you a lot of trouble, and I will take your wives and give them to another man before your very eyes. He will go to bed with them while everyone looks on."* (2 Samuel 12:11(CEV) _Bible Insight:_ You can predict the consequence of sin, but you may not always predict the consequences that sin can bring. The consequences of sin, depends on what wrong you have done. But at each point in time, and no matter how big or small the sin, the consequence of sin remains-- death!! Howbeit, for King David, for instance, he definitely got more than he possibly bargained for. *"You did it secretly; but I will do this thing before all Israel and in the light of the sun. And David said to Nathan, Great is my sin against the Lord. And Nathan said to David, The Lord has put away your sin; death will not come on you. But still, because you have had no respect for the Lord, death will certainly overtake the child who has newly come to birth."* 2 Samuel 12:12-14 (BBE) David planted a seed that would eventually take off the Kingdom from David's descendants. Just one moment of being in lust, left a life time and post generational mark. Wow!! _MEDITATION:_ *Be sure you live righteously. God's forgiveness is not in short supply but your life is. Only one life, maximize it in righteousness.
