So Tamar took the cakes she had made and brought them into the room to Amnon her brother. ..... The slightest sign of danger should be taken seriously whenever it comes to sexual immorality and sexual temptation. It never works to try to listen or to talk and reason when one is already caught at the heat of the moment. Even the bible does not advice prayer or talking or reasoning. The bible advise as follows: 1 Corinthians 6:18 (KJV) Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 2 Timothy 2:22 (KJV) Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. The solution is to FLEE not to discuss or reason it out. Although in Tamar's case, by the time she realized what was going on, it was already too late. The lesson remains that one should never be too trusting to stay or be alone and privately with the opposite sex. Whether or not there was an evil plan that one can think of or suspect. _MEDITATION:_ *The spirit of discernment will mean that caution should be taken when dealing with the opposite sex especially when anything suggest holding private meetings in secluded areas.
