You can either maximize the potential of the fruits of your mouth or you underestimate it. One of the ways this happens is through positive confession. Of course, this goes beyond positive confessions. Another way is by engaging our lips in fruiful discussions. *DAILY DEW 27/OCTOBER/2024* *"Coconut Head Generation"* _Key Bible Text:_ *"A wise son heareth his father's instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke."* Proverbs 13:1 (KJV) _Bible Insight_ The problem with a coconut head generation is hearing -- how they hear, when they hear, who they hear, whether they hear, and the extent to which they hear what they hear and when they hear. This coconut head generation, will they even hear? The deeper question is probably if they have fathers to listen to. The father question is a serious one as many fathers are absent or irresponsible. We thank God that there are still many fathers who are living up to that calling of fatherhood. A coconut head generation chooses not to hear most times. And when they do, it is to the extent they wish to hear or what part they wish to hear. Another problem is that they hear their own generation rather than listen to exemplary father figures. They would rather mock or scorn the fathers, than pay attention to what or who they need to hear. They do not take kindly to correction. They don't want to be corrected. *DAILY DEW 26/OCTOBER/2024* *"UNDYING"* _Key Bible Text:_ *"In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death."* Proverbs 12:28 (KJV) _Bible Insight_ Life is the by product of righteousness! There is no death in righteousness. Romans 5:21 (KJV) That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. When sin was allowed, the by product was death! Likewise, when righteousness is allowed by grace, the result or by product is (eternal) life. Romans 8:10 (KJV) And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. The consequences of sin is death, both physically and ultimately spiritually (eternal separation from God). The fruits or outcome of righteousness is life. When you practice righteousness, you have evidence of the life of God in you. When Christ lives in you, there is an ongoing mortification of the works of the flesh. That's the "death of the body" (meaning the dying of the works of the flesh). To be unaccomplished is to be stopped midway and to always desire and never realize what you wish for. One of the major challenges or obstacles on the way to success, progress or achievement or accomplishment is laziness. The lazy will get admission but will not make the most of that admission. They will come out either as a drop out or as an average graduate. The lazy will get a job but their poor work ethics will not allow them to keep the job. When lazy individuals run a business, their clients often suffer from delayed deliveries and missed deadlines. The lazy will never reach their zenith. They will never reach their potential. They will suffer from procrastination. They will always blame something or someone or tiredness or even unproductive busyness for their lack of underachievement. The lazy will pamper underperformance and dislike anything that tries to make them work harder. The lazy are their own greatest set back but they are always blaming others or something else.
