*NOT TO BE LOVED*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"'Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God."* James 4:4 (KJV)
_Bible Insight:_
The believer is called into a delicate place-- you are to live daily in a world you are to refuse to fall in love with.
We are to be like good citizens but never really placing our allegiance and loyalty to the world or any of the nations of this world.
We are to plan for the future but constantly reminding ourselves that there is no true future in this world.
We are to make money and earn a decent living, but always reminding ourselves that more money must never become the primary motive for which we live.
Like Rehab, we must never place hope in this world, but rather we must place loyalty to God's soon coming kingdom. As she deliberately worked against the world of her time in preference to the people of God, we must desist from preferring this world or her goods whenever they place a conflict with the Lord and His word!
Like spies we must conduct our affairs with much restraint and wisdom, using all our resources to advance our grand objective, the growth and realization of Kingdom of God and his soon coming King!
We can sing the national anthems of this world, but only as a lip service for our hearts must sing the praises of Him that have called us out of darkness into his marvelous lights.
Even if we must suffer being misunderstood or never trusted or never loved, we must remember that it has to be so. For as we are not to love this world, so are they not to love us.
_MEDITATION:_
*"If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you."* (John 15:18-19 (KJV))

*Waiting on God*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"'And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high."* (Luke 24:49 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
The times we belong to, many believe that God can do so much with a little or no praying at all.
Our generation believes that IT IS NOT until you pray and fast and tarry for so long in God's presence before you carry the power of God.
We ask why we don't see so much power at work, but don't equally ask why we don't tarry so much in the presence of God.
We want to match the works of the Apostles, without waiting until we are endued with power from on high.
The patience & perseverance of Paul in the three days of fasting or that of Jesus in waiting 40 days & night or that of the church that ministered unto the Lord in prayers & fasting is a reminder that the move of God is the outcome of the waiting on God.
Even in all daily living, to enjoy supernatural happenings, we need to return to daily desire of koinonia with the Father.
We need to relearn how to wait on the Lord, patiently & consistently as a matter of life style. And not even just because we want to move in power. But because their is deep desire for intimacy with the Father.
Those who seek the Father farther,
Enjoys his power longer.
_MEDITATION:_
*"As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them."* (Acts 13:2 (KJV))

*THE FOLLOWING SAINTS*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"'And JESUS SAID unto them, COME YE AFTER ME, and I WILL MAKE YOU to become FISHERS OF MEN. And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him."* (Mark 1:17-18 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
The saints that Jesus died for must become the saints that won't let his death go unsung, untold, uncelebrated and unannounced!
*_Speaking Gospel_*
The Gospel we are saved by and are called to preach is a speaking Gospel!
Jesus said unto them! You & I are that "them" of today! The Gospel of Jesus must speak to you daily! The evidence that you have heard the speaking Gospel is when you too begin to recho the voice of the Gospel!
What are you speaking today? Political news? Football news? Blog news? Entertainment news? Economic news? What you are speaking is a reflection of what you are hearing! Are you hearing the Gospel speak?
*_Christ Seeking Gospel_*
The Gospel must be all about Christ and Him crucified. If that is not the Focus, then it is not the Gospel. Not only that the Gospel must first make you a seeker of Christ, otherwise you have not truly received the Gospel. Those who truly come to Christ, must totally learn of Christ. I hear Jesus say, *"COME YE AFTER ME"* Do you?
*_Men Making Gospel_*
Christ seeks to make you! He says, I WILL MAKE YOU to become! WHATEVER you think you are today, can you say Christ made you that!? Anything you think you are or becoming that Christ has not made you into, is not the making of the Gospel!
*_FISHERS OF MEN_*
What Christ desires to make you become, is a fisher of men! God have not made you, until you become a fisher of men! That's the only thing Christ is proud to take credit for in your life!
Even when you become a nurse, lawyer, Doctor, carpenter or furniture maker, fashion designer, markerter, CEO, farmer, teacher, accountant, or attendant or whatever you want, if you are not fishing men, Christ have not made you!
When you relegate your primary role of fishing men to be only something you do or attempt to do during missions week, or during evangelism day, or during well planned church program, then we truly are yet to be fishers of men!
_MEDITATION:_
*"Missions week without missions field is missions weak!"* #Selah
*"Those who truly follow Jesus, follow after soul winning!"*

*A FAITH THAT STANDS STILL*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"'Did the gods of any other nations save their countries from the emperor of Assyria? When did any of the gods of all these countries ever save their country from our emperor? Then what makes you think the LORD can save Jerusalem?'
The people kept quiet, just as King Hezekiah had told them to; they did not say a word."* (2 Kings 18:33, 35-36 (GNB))
_Bible Insight:_
It is good to talk back at the devil. It is good to counter what the enemy voices are saying. Faith does that too. However do not put yourself under pressure to talk back at the devil even when the Lord has not spoken or you have not yet connected to know and speak what the Lord is saying.
Faith keeps still too. Faith stays calm too. Faith refuses to respond too. Faith refuses to answer back too. Faith can be amusingly silent, and patient but not complacent.
Don't forget Moses. Exodus 14:13 says, *"And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, STAND STILL, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever."*
Just like Hezekiah, after all Assyrian commanders had to say, ugly things like-
*"When did any of the gods of all these countries ever save their country from our emperor? Then what makes you think the LORD can save Jerusalem?"*
Or things like:
You cannot save yourself or help yourself or heal yourself but you are praying for others and it will happen? Why? Where is your God?
When questions or scenarios like this or similar to this comes your way, don't be quick or pressured to give a response. Trust God and be still for Faith stands still even in the storms.
Jesus said the following words that still pictures how peace or calm and challenges can exist at the same time..
*"And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
In your patience possess ye your souls."* Luke 21:17-19 (KJV)
In your patience posses your soul, in your faith be calm and see God fight for you.
_MEDITATION:_
*"When Faith is silent in the public it is because it is loud in the secret. Nurture the voice of God in your spirit man over that situation, so that when it is time to speak out, you will speak victoriously!"*

*The Cross: A Symbol of Humility* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves."* (Philippians 2:2-3 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
In lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves! Wow! This is profound.
However it is easier said than done, especially when you walk in the flesh! Realizing how heavy these words and those that follow are, the scriptures directly points us to remember how that Christ suffered on the Cross enabled by humility!
Humility is central to the love walk. The second and horizontal part of the cross is our relationship with others. "God is love" means God loves OTHERS and cannot be without looking out for the good of others. This was perfectly demonstrated in Christ dying for us while we were still sinners.
The Cross demands that you humble yourself before others as unto God!
Humility will mean intentionally ignoring your rights at times. It means preferring others have their way. Humility means being emotionally intelligent and being aware of the needs of others as much as you are aware of yours. *"Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others." (Philippians 2:4 (KJV))
Humility will show in little things as well as in big things.
How quickly you apologize even if you are not wrong
How quickly you greet first even if you are greeting someone younger or you're superior too
How you rather allow others to insult or annoy you without making a big deal of it
How you don't allow everything that annoys you to become a big deal
How you make effort to be at peace with others
How you are able to not always choose to defend yourself even when you are right
How you are able to suffer wrongly for something you didn't do or handle it with grace, poise and calm when defending yourself.
_MEDITATION:_

*The Cross: A Symbol of Humility*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."* Philippians 2:5-6, 8 (KJV)
_Bible Insight:_
The Cross of Christ is a reminder of and a lesson in HUMILITY!
YOU cannot truly walk with God with the spirit of pride. This pride issue is definitely a matter! Christ conquered the flesh and by extension pride on the Cross.
This should serve as a lesson in the pain of humility! Hear this:- humility will be painful at times. Don't expect to be humble always if you are not ready to count that pain of being treated less than you deserve as a gain!
The Cross will demand that pride dies! Pride towards God must die! That's the VERTICAL side of the cross. It is your relationship with God. You must become humble in the sight of God.
Your humility unto God is proven as you remain relentless in seeking His will, His word and His Ways in your life. A believer who is too busy to secure God's presence is proud. If you are too busy to make time to know God, you are simply saying that you're too big for God.
When other things easily drag you away from God's presence, from your prayer/quiet/bible study time you are suffering from pride unknown to you.
Those who humble themselves under the mighty hand of God ensure that they make a habit of staying at the feet of Jesus and at the foot of the cross.

*No Cross, No Gospel*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified"* (1 Corinthians 2:1-2))
_Bible Insight:_
Dead bodies are used to train surgeons. They cut them open from head to toe, to see where everything is; so that they can know how to operate on the living.
If you don't go to the Cross where Christ died, where His body was broken, and His blood was shed; where He tasted death; there is no way the Holy Spirit can help you live, or minister to you the living Christ.
-- Pastor Ebele UzoPeters
If you must be truly of Christ, you must be totally surrendered to the cross. To learn the way of the cross is to truly understand the way of Christ.
Paul the apostle even made us to understand that his priority is to totally learn Jesus and Him Crucified so that his preaching will not raise believers who have no conviction engineered by the power of God.
That your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:5)
As a believer learn to dwell on the cross of Christ. Understand how central and primary the Cross remains to your life as a believer. You can't truly live out the realities of the divine life if you don't fully appreciate the divine death through the cross of Christ!
For I delivered to you FIRST OF ALL that which I also received: THAT CHRIST DIED for our sins according to the Scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:3)
There can be no divine life without the divine death of the cross.
_MEDITATION:_
*"Any minister of the word who shies away from the message of the Cross, is unfit to hold the scalpel blade of the Spirit, which is the word of God.-- EbeleUzoPetees*

*A Beginner's Guide to Prayer*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."* (Hebrews 4:16 (KJV) )
_Bible Insight:_
1. Close the door to distractions
When you come to prayer, eliminate distractions. Like intimacy in marriage, closeness with God happens behind closed doors.
2. Know that God Loves Your Presence
God loves your presence more than you love His. Psalm 149:4 reveals that the Lord finds pleasure in His people. God's love for us is not based on tolerance but on deep affection.
3. Just be with God
Learn to be with God, not just "seek" Him. In Exodus 24:12, God asks Moses to come up to the mountain and be there. This step encourages us to just 'be' in the presence of God, not necessarily doing anything but simply resting learning to be still before Him (Isaiah 30:15).
4. Don't be overcome by guilt when you falter
Train your mind not to feel guilty for missing a day or two. If you didn't spend time in prayer like you may have wanted to, you shouldn't be overcome by guilt saying, "I'm sorry," instead, you should come back to prayer saying, "God, I've missed you."
5. God loves you despite your sin
Lastly, never let sin prevent you from prayer. When Adam sinned, God didn't cancel His appointment with him. Instead, He sought Adam, asking him why he didn't show up (Genesis 3:9).
_MEDITATION:_
*"God knew what Adam had done, yet instead of asking, "How could you have done that?" God asks Adam, "Where are you?"*

*Adding Values; Removing Vanities*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light."* (Romans 13:12 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
One month rounds off;another begins. One month finishes, another is about to be added. Technically speaking, we are putting off the old month and putting on the new.
As the time passage signals a new beginning, and the end of a period, something must also be added and removed from your life.
This addition and subtraction is very important. Something not okay must leave and something great must enter. Don't just look out for what to add. Also look out for what to remove.
Check your value system. By that, I mean the parameter you use in judging what is right or wrong as well as the attitude and actions that make up your life.
What can be improved upon in your value system? And what must you drop or stop indulging? YOU know certain things are not the best there can be, but laziness, procrastination and unseriouness have not allowed you drop them. Stop them- before they stop you! Drop them-- before they make you drop out from the path of excellence and greatness.
Whatever is not good enough is not good enough. It can be likened to darkness. Take a walk. Move! Move to the light (& right) side of life.
_MEDITATION:_
*"But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof."* (Romans 13:14 (KJV)

*HEARD BECAUSE HE FEARED*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared."* (Hebrews 5:7 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Godly fear pleases God. Fear God! Fear His Words! But in addition to that, it is okay to pray because you are afraid.
Many times we hear sayings like "don't pray out of fear"! Who says God is afraid or unhappy of our fears when we pray because we are afraid?
Prayer by its very design is the invitation of God in the natural because you feel things are either out of control or may become so. We don't pray for praying sake. We pray because WE NEED TO!
Blessed are those who KNOW THEY NEED TO PRAY even when it doesn't feel like it!
BLESSED is the man or woman whose fears drives him to God in prayer! Don't let no fear take you away from God. Instead, let the fear become your catalyst to pray!
Bring all your fears to God in prayer. The only time we ever read of Jesus being afraid, he prayed so much that his sweat became like blood.
The only warning is, don't wait till you are afraid before you go to God in prayer. So while it is okay to pray because you are afraid, it is not okay to not pray, because you are not afraid. You get my drift!?
Jesus prayed always. He prayed more times when he had nothing to be afraid of. So if you only wait till you are afraid before you pray, you should be very afraid already for thinking so!
_MEDITATION:_
*"It is okay to pray because you are afraid, it is not okay to not pray, because you are not afraid. !!"*
