*DAILY DEW 21/OCTOBER/2023* *The Witnesses' Assignment* (3) _Key Bible Text:_ *"For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers."* Romans 1:9 (KJV) _Bible Insight:_ A witness is in the business of praying for souls. God uses the prayers of His people to build up His Kingdom. Jesus said to Peter, in Luke 22:31-32, *"Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren."* The success of the witnesses' assignment lies heavily on prayers. We can't just preach men into God's kingdom without prayers. We can't just sing men into the Kingdom without prayers. We can't just cajole men into the kingdom without prayers. We can't just use examples and godly living to win men into the kingdom without prayers. Prayer is always an essential necessity in every activity that will bring about spiritual growth, kingdom growth, kingdom expansion and soul winning. Though *"The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few"* we can't just rush into the work without prayers.
