*DAILY DEW 24/OCTOBER/2023* *THE MERCY OF THE LORD* (2) _Key Bible Text:_ *"But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison."* (Genesis 39:21 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ Mercy is not because of unrighteousness. Mercy is not only because you are not in the will of God. Mercy is not only because you are doing wrong. What is Mercy then? Mercy is a divine favourable disposition of God towards a man, that evokes from God passion to make that man fulfill all that he was made to accomplish in life. We are not looking for Mercy to solve a little problem, not for an immediate situation but for a lifespan. *Mercy is a divine evaluation of a man's strength with a view of making it up for him to meet up divine expectation.* When God calls a man or give a man an assignment, that is his mandate. However, when God wants to help the man with His Mercy, God measures the lifespan, and length of years of the man and give the man the required capacity to succeed. We only receive mercy to fulfill God's will, God's mandate for our life. No man will enter into the mandate of God for his life until he has obtained Mercy. You need to give yourself totally to God.
