*DAILY DEW 1/DECEMBER/2023* *FISHERMEN AND FISHERS OF MEN* (III) _Key Bible Text:_ *"He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep." (John 21:17 (KJV)) _Bible Insight:_ The greatest challenge of many fishermen, is wanting to be fishers of men while still giving priority to being fishermen! We may not all become 100 percent fishers men, but the primary priority must become to be fishing for men. We will constantly be caught between fishing men and being fishermen! It is like a tug of war. Like the seed among thorns, it will be said of most fishermen who are trying to be fishers of men: "And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful." (Mark 4:19 (KJV)) It all begins with the Word. When we have not the word we cannot even talk of feeding the Lord's sheep! If we must be fishers of men and not merely fishermen, we must dedicate our highest priority to God's word and the demonstration of the word. This is the secret to the success found by the fishers of men who have gone before us.
