*DAILY DEW 3/FEBRUARY/2024* Godly & Wealthy _Key Bible Text:_ *"Now a traveller came to the house of the man of wealth, but he would not take anything from his flock or his herd to make a meal for the traveller who had come to him, but he took the poor man's lamb and made it ready for the man who had come.* (2 Samuel 12:4 (BBE)) _Bible Insight:_ Those who have, get more. Those who don't have, lose even what they have to those who have more! This is both a spiritual and a natural principle. (Luke 8:18) While this principle is true, in the story before us, brother David would not be spared for taking a poor man's own, to add to his own, or to use instead of his. When we try to apply spiritual principles with ungodly mode or conduct, we have breached the divine modus operandi. Having more and more must be with strict adherence to divine instructions. In a world where wealth is worshipped, we must be careful. If being wealthy is God's will, and of course it is, how we become wealthy is also very important to God. Besides, our definition of "wealth" must come form God too--not the world! We can't justify the means, by the end. When we seek anything good, money, fame, advantage, educational qualifications, promotions, etc, we must be sure that the means we employ in the course of reaching our aims, must be God's will too. _MEDITATION:_ *They have wicked minds and have missed out on the truth.
