God's word is replete with instructions that proposes that giving to God or at the instance of God's word, provokes abundance as a result. Luke 6:38 (GNB) Give to others, and God will give to you. Indeed, you will receive a full measure, a generous helping, poured into your hands -- all that you can hold. The measure you use for others is the one that God will use for you.” So in honouring God, our substance is not left behind or excluded. Our giving must be done cheerfully and gladly. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 (KJV) But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
