*DAILY DEW 28/JULY/2024* *Proverbs 11:4* _Key Bible Text:_ *Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.* Proverbs 11:4 (KJV) _Bible Insight_ Proverbs 11:4 Riches won't help on the day of judgment, but right living can save you from death. (NLT) Proverbs 11:4 When God is angry, money won't help you. Obeying God is the only way to be saved from death. (CEV) Proverbs 11:4 is a classic comparison between riches and righteousness. Observe that both demands to be chased or pursued. Observe that both requires being intentional and determined. Observe that you cannot become rich just by chance nor do you become righteous accidentally. Proverbs 11:4 therefore presents the advantage of the pursuit of righteousness over the pursuit of riches. Righteousness will defend you in the day of God's Judgment. But riches as vital as it is on earth, will leave you totally helpless on the day of Judgment. Justice maybe to the highest bidder on earth, but in God's law court, no amount of riches can save you- only righteousness will do! _MEDITATION:_ *"As death will come to all, so will judgment.
