*FAITH MOVED WITH FEAR* 😳
_Key Bible Text:_
*"BY FAITH Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, MOVED WITH FEAR, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith."* (Hebrews 11:7 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Faith moved with fear!? That's not possible! How come? I thought faith is the absence of fear!? Oh okay. Well sometimes, not absence. But I seriously thought that faith is the disregard of fear!? Now I know it is not true or rather not always true.
Noah would not have been a man of faith if he had not moved with _godly_ fear!
God expects a kind of fear when he issues His warnings. This fear is that kind that causes us to obey or comply with His warnings.
It is okay if God's warnings produces fear in us. Don't ignore that lingering fear that nugdes you away from disobeying God. Don't downplay that fear that keeps you simple and naive towards sin.
Any boldness or wokeness or big boyism or girlism that translates to ignoring the fear that tries to keep you within the limit of God's approval, is straight from the pit of hell.
You're not being modern when you ignore such fears that restricts you from doing or appearing evil, but you are being murdered when you do! It is a slow and gradual death of spiritual sensitivity.
When it comes to pleasing God, let your fears move you to obey God. That's actually what real faith does!
_MEDITATION:_
*"Those who truly have faith in God and His word, maintain the kind of fear that moves them towards obedience to God!!"*

*WARNINGS*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith."* (Hebrews 11:7 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Be warned!
Promises, blessings and positive confessions, prayers of blessings and prayers against enemies are usually the focus. Unconsciously we don't take anything else as seriously as we take the above mentioned. However, we must be reminded that God has got a whole lot of warnings for his people too. Be warned.
The Bible is also a book of warnings. We may have trained our mind to focus less on warnings in the scripture but that is not healthy for our growth and spiritual security in God. Be warned.
God does not only bless or promise blessings, He also warns and rebukes us. Those who take God's blessings and promises to heart while taking God's warnings for granted will surely make a disaster of their lives and spiritual journey in the end. Be warned.
Retrain your mind to spot, identify, dissect and internalize God's warnings. Be warned.
Begin to associate God's warnings as something positive, useful and life-saving. Stop treating or perceiving godly warnings as harsh, too serious, or too petty or unnecessary. Be warned.
If Noah had treated God's warning unseriously He would never have become a hero of faith. Faithful people take God's warnings seriously. Be warned.
_MEDITATION:_
*"Show me a man who loves to obey God's warnings, and I will show you a man who is full of faith!!"*

*MAXIMIZE YOUR PRIME TIME*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them"* (Ecclesiastes 12:1 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Only God has the right to save the best part of the wine till the last part of the party. Yet, God has actually given us his best part of his plan for man already-- the gift of salvation through faith in Jesus! Many people are however not giving God their best yet and unfortunately wait till they grow old!
The prime time of your life means the best years of your life when your strength is still at its peak.
In otherwords, the best time to serve the Lord is during your youthful years. God will always have maximum use of those who are still in their youths than those who are already old or age has caught up with.
Don't give God your best time and resources in your latter years when you are well advanced in age. Give God your best time and energy now!
Don't wait! Don't procrastinate. Why should you invest your prime time on things that have no eternal rewards? Why will you postpone the best efforts and energy you can give to God and his cause till later!?
Don't do it! Time is short so give God your time already. There is no time, so stop delaying this all important decision. And this is the best time to start working for God like you have no time because you don't.
_MEDITATION:_
*"If I choose to serve God in the evening or night of my life when I could actually begin in the early morning of my life to serve God, I have foolishly cheated myself! 🥲 God forbid!"*

*Time vs Eternity*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be."* (Revelation 22:12 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
There is no "time" in eternity but there is a dimension of eternity in time. Eternity is timeless or endless. Hence, time is relative to this present world. Only in this world does time count.
However there is a relationship between time and eternity. You cannot achieve in eternity whatever you have not achieved in time.
Let me be clear in this regard. If you don't make peace with God in this life where time counts, YOU CANNOT MAKE peace with God in eternity where time does not count.
If you sow unrighteous works now in this time zone, you will reap the wrath of God in eternity. Choose wisely!
God's kingdom operates on a cause and effect basis. You cannot play away your life on earth and expect God to pay you in eternity!
This life where time matters is WORK ZONE! And you are always working. The issue is whether your works are righteous or unrighteous; whether they are acceptable or unacceptable; whether they are good or bad; whether they are faithful or unfaithful; whether they are of light or of darkness; and whether they are pleasing to God or displeasing to God.
Beloved work the works that please God now that you are on earth! Otherwise, WHEN you get to eternity, you will not like what you get! Every seed sown here on earth will yield its kind of harvest in eternity. Eternity is REWARD ZONE oh!
Time bound earth is work zone; eternity is reward zone!
Time bound earth is work zone; eternity is reward zone!!
Time bound earth is work zone; eternity is reward zone!!!
What kinds of works are you working? You cannot afford to lazy about when God is taking note of your works waiting for you in eternity.
Anything God blesses you on earth with, is only a tip of the iceberg compared to what awaits you in eternity. Keep your focus on the eternal.
LABOUR! BUT *"Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed."* John 6:27 (KJV)
_MEDITATION:_
*"And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them."* (Revelation 14:13 (KJV))

*The Brevity of Time*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble."* (Job 14:1 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Time is always measured in relation to a person or purpose or thing. Time is counted or measured in reference to a person's life.
Your life is basically made up of time! This is why you take note of your age or years in life.
How old you are, determines how and what people expects of you. When you were a toddler certain things were expected of and excused for you. You could cry anywhere and everyone would understand. When you became a teenager, you were not expected to cry for the same reasons or in the same way a toddler would do.
The design of God is that time is fleeting and passing. Time is brief. Today will soon give way for tomorrow. To therefore appreciate the brevity of life is a mark of wisdom.
One of the people I look up to, speaks a lot about having a "*sense of urgency*". It is basically an understanding that time is short and therefore whatever is right to be done, should be done already rather than delaying same.
Paul achieved so much in life and ministry, contributing so much as 1/3 of the new testament because he strongly believes that time was short.
*You will not achieve as much as you could If you live with the erroneous thinking that there is time!*
When you truly embrace the philosophy that TIME IS SHORT, you will drastically hate procrastinating, wasteful or lazy lifestyle and slow decisions or actions.
_MEDITATION:_
Here is a clear picture of Paul's philosophy when it comes to time:
*"But I say this, brothers: the time is short, that from now on, both those who have wives may be as though they had none; and those who weep, as though they didn’t weep; and those who rejoice, as though they didn’t rejoice; and those who buy, as though they didn’t possess; and those who use the world, as not using it to the fullest. For the mode of this world passes away."* (1 Corinthians 7:29-31(WEB))

*The Illusion of Time*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven"* (Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
There will not always be time! Don't be deceived. You will not always have time. It is an illusion, a deceit of some sort, to believe that you will always have time.
Realize that God has allocated time for each specific things or activities. There is a due time set for different things. You won't always have the time to do today what you should have done yesterday. This is because by the design of life, whenever you miss a particular time for doing something, at the time you return to do that same thing, you actually should be doing something else.
The prodigal son for instance will always have a history of having been way ward. God's mercy and grace will forgive, but that story of him leaving his father and going to live a riotous living will always take a meaningful slot and impact in his life. He can never undo that. That time is wasted and gone forever.
It is therefore a common error to suppose that there is always time. Indeed by mercy, God can grant you uncommon speed that gives you supernatural favour to achieve within a short time, what should take a longer period. However, you cannot at any time actually "recover" any time that you have wasted.
_MEDITATION:_
*"Redeeming the time, because the days are evil."* (Ephesians 5:16 (KJV))
*“Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time."* (Colossians 4:5 (KJV))

*The Weakness That Brings Strength*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled. Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.* (Daniel 10:3, 8 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
There are paradoxes in life. Also in God's design for His children and His kingdom many paradoxes exist as well.
Hamlet is notorious or popular for saying "I must be cruel to be kind"! How can that be? Does cruelty produce kindness?
In God's Kingdom, certain things appear as contradictions but are simply true and powerful. For instance, Christ was made poor that we might become rich; those who profess to be wise in their own eyes become fools in God's eyes; those who scatter abroad or give generously retain or gather more than those who withhold or hoard their blessings!
In the same vein, we must embrace weakness to become truly strong. God's strength is made perfect in our weakness.
If you come to God as strong, you will first be made weak, so you can truly become strong. And If you come to God as weak, then God makes you truly strong.
In seeking God dilligently, you must embrace the process of weakness. Long waitings on God, fervent prayers, and committed fastings will first weaken you (bodily) so that you can be strengthened spiritually. You must understand this.
Don't be afraid of the body weakness that necessarily follows intense seeking of God's presence. Embrace it. We must go through that "pain" before we can take benefits of the gains of diligently seeking God.
_MEDITATION:_
*“Are you still afraid of seeking God in fastings and prayers because of the physical toll it has on your body? Don't be! Your physical weakness is the temporary down payment for your gain of spiritual stamina and weight!"*

*Available AND USEABLE* (III)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost"* (Acts 9:17 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
In the final analysis, the distinguishing feature of God's men will not be whether they are available or useable or even sendable. The real test is whether they will obey, or do, or comply with received instructions.
It is the consistency of our application of received instructions that will keep us as God's choice option when other divine needs or instruction arise. God does not force people. He naturally goes after those who go after him. Once you prove to be consistent and reliable, God makes more use of you, especially for more bigger assignments that require trusted and faithful hands.
The men who made a mark for God and the men who will make a mark for God, are the men who will take up instructions obediently, even when or especially when it is not their will!
3. He obeyed the instructions setting aside his personal wish or feeling.
It is not funny when the Lord will tell you to go and "sacrifice" your son or leave your job and go to the missions field or marry someone that doesn't quite strike you as your fairy tale queen charming or king charming!
It is not funny when you have to obey God's word to forgive your parents who left you or cared less when growing up or to forgive your spouse who annoyed you with no just cause or to forgive your church member who is always getting on your nerves or saying things that are not nice about you.
It is not funny, when you must go all out to strive to be at peace with people who don't give a hoot.
It is not funny when you have to apologize to people who should be the one apologizing to you all because the Spirit is impressing it upon you to take the initiative.
But that was just how Ananias at first was a bit at a loss as to why God would even want him to go pray for a Saul whose blindness should be an answered prayer.
A man that had a deep relationship with God, like Abraham, he dared to make a subtle objection or clarification at first. God answered him. And he obeyed. When he got there he could call this persecutor of a man, "Brother Saul".
This shows how much of obedience and faith Ananias has in what God has told him about Saul. He knew God too well to bother about doubting the brotherhood or conversion of Saul.

*Available AND USEABLE* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.* (2 Timothy 2:21 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
Sometimes we read the Bible and almost assume that the characters were actors who were waiting for script or roles to play. How do I mean?
Has it ever occurred to you that Ananias was not jobless. We dont know for sure what his occupation was. Researchers and historians or bible scholars may have plausible ideas but certainly Ananias was not some idle guy waiting for God to speak or for his time to come so he can play his role and go.
2. He made himself both useable & available for God's work/use.
It is not funny but sincerely and practically speaking, you can be:
* available but not be useable; or
* useable but not available; or
* not useable and not available; or
* useable and available.
Many fall into the first three gategories. Few fall into the last. Indeed, many are called but few are chosen.
Ananias the damascus disciple was both available and useable. Remember there was one other Ananias with Saphira, who were available but not useable by God? Oh! You should not forget such lessons!
Your being available is good but not good enough! God wants you to be available AND useable. Or have you forgotten the rich young ruler, who was useable but not available to sell all his possession and follow Jesus?
Or how about the parable of the king who made a marriage for his son? Special guests were useable or fit or counted worthy for the marriage ceremony but were not available? Or what about the commoner from the street who though was available was not dressed for the occassion therefore not useable? (Mathew 22:11-13)
Friends, being available & useable is the goal. A whole lot are either available but not useable or they are useable but not available.
When the Lord called upon Ananias, he answered *"Behold, I am here, Lord."* Does this not remind you of what Samuel eventually learned to answer, from the Priest Eli? Speak Lord for thy servant hears?
*"May the much busyness, hustle and bustle of this generation not render us either unavailable or unuseable for the Lord. Amen."*
_MEDITATION:_

_Key Bible Text:_
*“And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord."* (Acts 9:10 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
ANANIAS, the disciple at Damascus did not SUDDENLY hear God's voice.
It is true that he was never seen before or after this Acts 9:10-19 account of him. In nine verses or less, we read about this damascus disciple.
Researchers may have even more to say about him, but it is important to note that the short verses still gives some vital information about him that every believer must care to understand, emulate & apply.
1. He saw a vision.
Acts 9:10 (KJV) And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a VISION, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
This is one key the Lord uses to instruct his disciples. The mountain of transfiguration was a vision. (Mathew 17:9) Remember?
Zachariah the father of John the Baptist saw a vision about his childbearing in His old age. (Luke 1:22)
Cornelius and Peter saw a vision. This brought a major inroad of the Gospel being preached to Gentiles. It is a landmark precedent. (Acts 10:3 & 17)
With these few points it is safe to conclude that vision was not for "ordinary" people who have not known or had dealings with God.
Note the nature of these visions. They were very clearly divine and directive or instructive. They were neither vague nor were they received by ungoldly people. They commanded positive actions, that requires faith and trust in God.
It takes men who have nurtured their walk with God to enjoy visions of this sort or some other level of clear communication with God.
How is your walk with God? How is your hearing? Can God use you when he has a need to take care of? Are you sendable, useable and available?
_MEDITATION:_
*"God is still in the business of using people. Not just the available but the useable too."*
